The Great Ocean Road

Koalas! Kangaroos! Kookaburra! Cockatoo! Get your Australian animals here!!

Back in October (oh why has it taken me so long to post??) we took a drive with Mario's CSIRO coworkers Shiri (from Israel) and Nadine (from Switzerland). Wildlife and breathtaking vistas abounded!

So, without further ado...

Our good little car - made it the whole way and back

Then we were off to see some kangaroos!

He wanted to jump with the kangaroos, but the sign said you could only golf with them.

Aparently, kangaroos really like golfing

...and eating
...and jumping!

At Teddy's Lookout

Our first koala sighting!!
He came down from his tree...
walked over to another tree, scurried up it and promptly started GROWLING at us! It was the craziest sound ever! I'll try to upload some of the videos I took of the koalas, soon...

The crew

We pet this one. He didn't seem to mind, but we were ready to run for it if he got upset!

This Koala is holding a baby against its chest. It's kind of hard to see, but once you know it's there, isn't it just too cute for words?

A couple of the Twelve Apostles are visible on the right
